Main level: The original heart pine wood flooring and restored original sash windows add to the historic charm. There are two bedrooms on the main level... a very large master bedroom with a new king bed, a private bathroom with tub and shower, and a sitting area with a couch... and there is another bedroom with twin beds. A new updated bathroom, with a shower, is located off the back hallway. There is a spacious living room with cable TV and DVD player, a large dining room, and a parlor with a new queen sofa bed, cable TV, and a piano. The updated and renovated kitchen is large and open... with a breakfast area. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and includes a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffeemaker. A washer and dryer are in the rear entry room. The spacious front porch, with rocking chairs, overlooks the lake and the Plott Balsams mountain range to the west.
Upstairs Level: With the heart pine wood flooring throughout, the upstairs level has three bedrooms... one with a new king bed and view of the lake, one with a new queen bed, and one with twin beds and a view of the Cross. The hall bathroom, with a large shower, is new and updated.
Plus: There ishigh speed wireless internet and an on-demand water heater. Ceiling fans and window fans are located in all bedrooms. And there is a patio in the backyard with sitting area, waterfall, garden area, and grill. Parking is on the rear driveway with plenty of extra parking in front. There are no steps to enter the rear door... with one step to go from the rear entry room to the kitchen.
Main level: The apartment has a completely modern interior with Berber carpeting, wood paneling, and wood laminate flooring. It has a living area with a queen sofa bed, cable TV, and ceiling fan. *The Units are rented typically, but not exclusively, on a weekly basis from May through October. Units are rented Sunday (check in at 3pm) to Sunday (check out not later than 11am). Daily and weekend rates are available during the off season or by special request. The Units are furnished with cooking & eating utensils, blankets, bedspreads, and pillows. Small electrical appliances are furnished as indicated in individual Unit descriptions above. NOTE: Linens (sheets, pillow cases, and bath towels), cleaning supplies, and paper supplies are not furnished. There are no smoking and no pet rules at all Lake Junaluska Cottage Rental properties.
